Ibanez's relatively new Talman bass lineup is a combination of powerful genre-hopping versatility and the re-emergence of the classic Ibanez Talman body shape.

These incredible instruments are affordable, comfortable to play, and tonally versatile - all of the incredients an aspiring bass player needs to develop their technique.

Return of the Talman

Originally released as a guitar in 1994, the Talman offered a great alternative body shape for players seeking something a little different. These guitars combined unusual aesthetics with comfort and great tone.

Unfortunately, the original lineup ceased production in 1998, but now they're back and better than ever, and available for the first time in bass form.

Comfortable Body Shape

The hallmark of those original Talman guitars was, without a doubt, the uniquely shaped body. With the Ibanez TMB100-TFB you get those unique body curves, carved from a lightweight piece of Poplar.

In addition to this, there's a bolt-on Maple neck, topped with a Jatoba fingerboard, which comes together to add plenty of snap and articulation to your playing.

Dynamix Pickups

Situated at the Middle and Bridge positions on this bass you'll find a set of Dynamix passive pickups in a P/J configuration.

With a "P"-style split coil pickup that produces those recognisably thunderous bass tones, and a "J"-style single coil pickup at the bridge, the tonal versatility of this bass is incredible.

In addition to that, there's also a 2-band EQ which allows you to fine-tune your tone even further.
